My mom and dad came and visited us on their way back from their road trip to the west coast. From what Natalie and I heard, they had a good time eating lots of cheeseburgers and cruising around in the convertible. It seems like now all of their kids are working they are just lolly gagging around.

We went to the BYU Marriott School opening social, visited the shave ice shack, played Rummy, and had an awesome Cannon Center breakfast. Mom broke the rules and took out about 20 scones! We were glad that they came down and slept on our floor.

This weekend we will spend time with Natalie's family. We are going to the BYU home opener and we are going to look for air soft guns. Rick will give a power point presentation on appraising so that I can learn some helpful things for my real estate class.

So the last time I updated this bad boy was back February, approximately 152 days ago. It's amazing how quickly those days go by and how much has happened since the last post. To prevent a long-winded post about everything that has happened, let's do a Top 5!

5. 4th of July

For this holiday, the entire Sterling family gathered together in Fort Collins. It was a full house but it was fun to be with all the nieces, nephews and siblings! It's been a while since we have seen our Texas family so it was great to have them in Colorado. Only one person went to the hospital that weekend (better than I expected) and we didn't get sick of each other (I think). It was a fun reunion.

4. Date in Denver

For the Fourth of July, I made a trip out to Colorado for the aforementioned reunion. Trevor and I decided to have a little date before we joined the full house madness. We spent the day in Denver. Walked around the 16th Street Mall, ate at Chipotle (of course), Trevor showed me where he works, went to a Rockies game and stayed the night at the Hotel Teatro. We went to batting practice before the game because Trevor wanted to get a ball and this guy was like a giddy little kid when he got that foul ball! I love having Trevor and Natalie time.

3. My New Job!

I know what you are thinking, "Another one? Really?" Alright, alright, lay off me, I'm starving! Anyways, when I learned that I probably couldn't keep up with my Catering job (see #1), I applied to be a Hall Advisor on campus and by a miracle, I got the job. It has been fun, difficult, amazing and has definitely taught me a lot. I work with the best people and I am lucky to have this job. I told Trevor that I would like this to be my last job so hopefully no more posts about a new job of mine. ;)

2. Trevor's Internship

Trevor has been working for PwC in Denver and he loves it. He has learned so much and he keeps telling me how much he loves working on taxes (I married a nerd!). He has met a lot of great people and is really figuring out what he would like to do once he graduates. It has been a little hard, did I mention his internship was in Denver? But we have made it work. I am proud of him for working so hard. But it hasn't been too hard on him, he eats Chipotle every day for lunch!

1. Speck

We haven't really announced this on the world wide web but I've got a kid kicking around inside. I know, awesome right? My family calls the kid Speck. Our little sterling will debut around December 2. We have yet to find out if Speck is a boy or girl but we will find out soon. Pregnancy has been great and I like laying on the couch feeling the little kiddo kick around. So there ya go, that is the number one thing going on with us. And maybe we can blame Speck on the lack of blogging, I'd much rather lay on the couch! Or eat McDonalds (my only craving haha). I already love this little thing.

This picture is about 3 months old haha so hopefully my kid is a lot bigger than the gummy bear Speck was in this picture.

Well that's a pretty good update. I'll see you in 152 days!

I would love to say that I have been so busy the past week and that's why I haven't blogged very much. Sadly, I haven't been busy, nope, I just haven't had a desire to blog. But lucky for you, I am back. Here is a look at our V-day festivities.

My Valentine and I have had a bit of an expensive month (stitches are a beast) so we decided on a low-key valentines day. If you know me, you know where I wanted to eat for dinner - Chippys! {Sigh} Best. Place. Ever. I have a serious obsession but I am totally ok with it.

So we got ready and left for SLC.

{Sigh, again} We were excited to get some fat burritos. Chippy's has this awesome way of always making me happy: We get to the front of the line and see a sign that says "Buy one burrito, get one free for Valentine's Day" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Love.

We got burritos and chips and salsa and I fulfilled my Coke Zero craving, all for $10. We didn't even really talk at dinner, hahaha, we just enjoyed the goodness that is Chipotle.

My Valentine is awesome and took me on the best date i could ask for. We went home with food babies and a smile.

Holy crap, I am old. My sister just turned 19! Are you kidding me? I feel like she should only be like 12 or something. I mean seriously, I can't handle that my little sister is SO CLOSE to being done with the teen-age years.

I digress. Sorry.

February 8th was the special day. Trevor and I took Katie and her roommate Aliese to the Olive Garden. It was delicious.

Let me give a little recap of the day Katie was born. I was 5 years old. I don't really remember my mom being pregnant but I remember that night, Taylor and I were dropped off at Aunt Kit and Uncle Kennys house. It was awesome, like a sleepover party! Thats all I remember. I don't remember going to the hospital or anything, just the sleepover party. Sorry Katie. But we are glad you came into the world 19 years ago and we are glad you are in Provo now! Happy Birthday!

What happens in Vegas...

**WARNING: this post contains some serious bias and almost obsession with two little boys. You have been warned.**

When Trevor and I were packing up and leaving Vegas after Thanksgiving, my mom and sister-in-law Michelle kept asking, "When will we see you again?" We honestly had no plans or even reasons to go back to Vegas after the new year. So in December, I begged Trev to let me plan a weekend with the fam in January and being the awesome husband he is, he said ok! So, I flew down to Las Vegas for 4 days and had such a great time.

Michelle is such a good mom and prepped Jackson for my arrival. When I came to his house, he knew exactly who was coming and he was excited to see "Natawee!" Jackson just has a way of making you feel like a million bucks.

The weekend consisted of playing with Jackson and Landon, a makeover for the bathroom and more playing with the boys. My goal was to take lots of pictures and I was successful in taking lots of pictures of the boys.

I am pretty proud of this picture, no editing needed! The lighting is so cool and I love the composition of the picture. It's pictures like this that make me think I'm getting better at the photography thing! What a goof with his pink binky haha.

This cracks me up. After successfully scratching almost all of us, Grandpa took matter into his own hands. Landon was so sweet and just watched with big eyes as his finger nails were being trimmed. Excuse me while I go swoon over Landon's fat cheeks.

I'm pretty proud of this 3 day makeover. It was so fun. We painted, changed the faucet, changed the lighting, framed the mirror and just gave the bathroom a much needed update. It wasn't 100% finished when I left, some accessorizing was still needed but I love how it turned out!

I miss this weekend all ready. My family is crazy and I love them to death. Go here to see more of my boys.

The Freakin' Weekend

I love the weekends. I can talk Trev out of doing his homework and we get to hang out. It's a win-win... maybe? Well, here are some highlights from our eventful weekend.

Friday night, Trevor revealed that he didn't plan anything for a date. He was in BIG TROUBLE. So I did some searching around of what we could do and I had the best idea!

We went to Color Me Mine, the paint-your-own-ceramics studio. Trevor chose to paint a bowl and I chose to paint a vase.

Trevor painted Oscar the Grouch inside his bowl because he was being a grouch that night. He really was haha. Look at that artistic hand.

Then we just went home and watched the Nuggets get killed by the Lakers. It was a great night.

Saturday night, we invited Trevin and Allsion over for dinner and to watch the BYU Basketball game. Awesome win, cougs, and by cougs I mean Jimmer.

Of course, the weekend couldn't be complete without a trip to Macey's for some soft-serve! I was ready to get out of the house.

They give you ginormous cones for cheap-a-la-cheap. We wandered around the store and Trevor wanted to see if Dreyer's ice cream was on sale...

...as you can see, Trevor was seriously upset to find no sales in the ice cream aisle. Maybe next time, bud.

That's our weekend, I hate when the weekend has to end, but here we are. Happy Monday!

A Man's Best Friend

Ever since I can remember my family had a dog growing up. I bawled like a baby when our first dog Jake died. Since him we've have Toby, Jet, Sadie and our dog now, Tucker. Tucker is crazy and hilariously funny. The best part is his obsession with my dad. It's weird.

The first year of our marriage, Trev and I would budget using Excel and we would make formulas and put in all of our spending, and let me tell you, it was AWFUL. I hated budgeting. I dreaded it every month. So I did some searching and ta da! found mint.com. I actually look forward to budgeting now. I can see how we are doing financially so easily, it blows my mind. You connect your online banking with Mint and it updates and tracks the transactions and the budgets that you set. Everything is so visual, it is too easy. It has really helped us get a good grip on the financials and it is just the best thing ever.

The "Cooking Community" brought to you by blogger extraordinaire, Pioneer Woman. I have found so many awesome recipes from this site, I seriously love it. Of course our "Day in Denver" wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Pepsi Can to see Trevor's beloved Nuggets play. We had great seats and watched a fun game. Sadly, Melo wasn't playing but we forgive him for that.

We got into the arena as soon as it opened and Trevor was seriously in heaven. He couldn't even focus while Renaldo Balkman was shooting.

Luckily the Nuggets had a great game and beat Portland 95-77.

We even got a visit from Rocky!

It's Been A While...

It has sure been a while since we did the blog thing, huh? My sincerest apologies to the 5 people who read this. We were lucky to get a new camera for Christmas so that makes me think I will have more to blog about, maybe?

Trevor and I decided to do a "Day in Denver" over Christmas break since we will be living there soon. I instantly LOVED it! What a beautiful city that is clean and pretty safe (at least I felt safe while there). I'm really excited to live there and I would love to live in the city for a couple years, I am such a city girl, ha sorry Dad! ;)

The 16th Street Mall is where it's at! It's a fun street with lots of shops. It is definitely in the running for where we will live.

Trevor took me to dinner at the Wyncoop Brewery Company and it was delicious! I love trying local places and this was great. I want to go back as soon as we get back to Denver.

Ridin' Solo

I am so bored I decided to blog ha! So Trevor is somewhere in Colorado with his dad and bros for the annual Death March. Im here, at home and I don't think I've talked for like hours. You'd think this would be a cake-walk compared to the TWO YEARS he was gone but its different when you are married and your only roommate is gone.

A LOT has happened since our last post. I got a new job (thankfully) and life has been kinda turned upside-down. It actually has been a really strengthening and growing experience for both me and trev. It always works out and Heavenly Father's plan is always better than our own. I work part-time at the BYU Math Dept. I'm their Events Coordinator and if you know me, I've been wanting to plan events so its pretty much perfect. Pretty much because its part-time. As much as I would love to be half housewife and half events planner (DREAM!), I should really be working and making money for our family. Soo, I've had a couple interviews, one really promising but didn't work out. Trevor has a job lined up which is nice but its not in Accounting which isn't so nice so I'm hoping he can get an accounting job on campus. We'll see though. I just keep thinking how President Hinckley always said, everything will work out. So life is definitely different but it is definitely better.

Life is great, Trevor and I couldn't be happier. I just wish he would get back to Utah but I'm sure he is having so much fun with the boys. I am having fun here eating chips and ice cream for dinner, I haven't done the dishes and I've successfully watched lots and lots of Law and Order.

Trevor begins school soon and my sister is coming up to Provo to start school. The fall will be wonderful and I'm really excited for what the future holds.

Gotta run, this Law and Order is getting good!

We're back again and let me say it's good to be back. I worked today and Trevor had a mix of school and work. My favorite part of the day was when I got a "Good Work" response from the boss. That means a lot coming from the boss, so that was good. After work, I went to WinCo, freakin' bomb diggity grocery store, then rushed home to make dinner before trev-trev finished class. I made a Chicken, Avocados, Tomatoes and Olive pizza with Garlic Ranch Sauce. It was a secret recipe. Then Trev called on his way home from class announcing that he was starving so I cooked some peas and breadsticks. We're on a budget so the meals are a little lame, but it's cool cuz we're saving money people!

After dinner, I made Trevor hose down our garbage can. Haha, I am so glad he did! Thanks Trevor! Then he went to studying and I began my stacking of just cleaned dishes, that's what happens when you don't have a dishwasher. It was piled high but nothing fell and nothing broke! It was awesome. I did some laundry, some online window shopping (Forever 21 has got great stuff online, how do I just find this out??) and cleaned up around this place. The Nielson crew is staying here on Wed, so we are going to have a Full House (everywhere you look, there's a heart, a hand to hold on to...). It's going to be awesome but I thought I should clean up so we have room for everyone.

I'm helping with a baby shower in our ward and I'm designing the invitations. I LOVEEE designing things. Photoshop and I have become very close and I will probably shed a tear when I don't have a job with the Adobe Creative Suites on the compy. I will post the finished product when it becomes finished. So Trevor and I are awful at taking picture but here is one that will show off my Photoshop skillz. What do you think?
Other good news: I got a free BYU shirt today at work (gotta love advertising with them cougars), I have a gigantic bowl of candy on my desk at work (or is that bad news?), and I think I found a great cardigan to go with my pretty blue dress haha, it's gonna be fierce!

Do you want to hear the bad news? Let me preface by saying that I am DEATHLY afraid of running out of gas, like I always picture myself running out of gas in the middle of the freeway. It's awful, once my gas thing (the technical term, i know) goes to only a quarter of gas left, I start to get a little nervous. So I'm currently just below a quarter of a tank and I'm getting more and more nervous. I'm driving home from work and luckily I made it off the freeway, but I'm at a stop light and it turns green, I start going but my car is having troubles going. It kinda goes then starts stopping, kinda goes then starts stopping all in the intersection! I start shaking like a leaf, almost hyperventilating and try to pull over, my car finally starts going normally but I pull over anyway just to calm down. Awful huh. I should probably get that looked at but I probably won't (remember the budget thing??). Well, I hated that part of the day.

Summer Vacations

Hey guys we have been traveling just a little bit this summer. For the weekend of June 12th we were in Las Vegas celebrating Katie Nielson's graduation. It was a pretty exciting show of events like when one of the speakers said "Basic High School" on accident instead of "Foothill". Anyway it was a lot of fun to remember when we graduated high school. Here is a picture of the recent graduate. If you can't tell she is sleeping on the floor.

Ok keeping on with the review of all the summer travels we went to Colorado for Father's day weekend. That was fun as well. Natalie went camping for the first time in too long. She wore all my clothes because we forgot to pack our clothes. After that and before that we worked on the Buick like all weekend. Then we went to Jesse French's wedding. There is a picture of us at the wedding. Overall I thought it was a fun weekend. It was a lot of hard work on the car. We had fun playing jump with Libby as well. It is always fun to see the little nieces and nephews and we look forward to more!!

Remember how we got a blog and now we don't ever update?? Ah, I know, maybe someday we will be better at this whole thing. Things have been going so well lately! Earlier this month we were able to drive down to Las Vegas for Jordi's wedding!!

It was perfect because we got to hang out with the Nielson side one day and the next day was the Sterling side! It was great.

Friday, Trevor mostly studied for his tests (which he did amazingly well on) so I got to play with my fam! I went over to see Jackson first thing because I'm obsessed as I'm sure you know. He is the sweetest thing ever and we actually got to steal him for the whole day! We got food and had a picnic with my sisters in the school parking lot. It was great, my sisters are THE BEST! OH, good news, Katie got into BYU!!!! I am SOOOOO excited to have her here in P-town with me. It's going to be great. Anywho, back to Friday. So we then went to lunch (we didn't eat at the picnic) with my parents and Jackson. It was fun to have the parentals all to ourselves. We then went home and as soon as the girls got home we did what the Nielson girls do best: SHOPPING!! I needed a belt for the wedding and we also went to look at prom dresses for my sister. It was so fun. That night we had a big dinner with all the siblings, my uncle Scott and Katie's boyfriend, Kylie. I love having a million people at the dinner table where we just tell stories and laugh until we cry. After dinner, we went to what we like to call "Park 2000", a beloved Nielson tradition. You see, Park 2000 is right across the street from the McCarran airport runway. So you hang out on the grass and watch airplanes fly right over you. Nothing beats it. We sit in the back of the truck, guess which airplane is coming next and listen to the scanner. Jackson did surprisingly well and really liked the airplanes. What a great day, spending time with fam in the hometown, there is nothing like it.

On Saturday we were up and at 'em getting ready for the wedding and the day. We are driving to the temple and I realize I don't have my recommend, I swear you cannot have a Mormon wedding unless someone forgets their recommend. Well, all worked out, we got a hold of the Bishop who let the temple know that I am allowed!! Hahaha, it was a beautiful sealing, very special since Trevor and I were sealed in the SAME place by the SAME sealer! Cool, huh. Jordi and Ashlie are so cute and their wedding was great. My shoes were insanely tall so I mostly sat on a bench with Roger as we watched them take a bunch of pictures.

After the temple stuff was done, we headed back to Trev's mom and dad's hotel so they can check in and then go to help set up the reception. I love decorating and setting up events so it was fun to help with the reception. We didn't do much haha but we tied a couple bows and got the centerpieces all set up. After this set up session, we were getting hungry, remember how I didn't mention lunch?? It was about 4 so we drove around looking for a place to get some grub. Trevor saw a Seafood place that looked good so we go in and I think Trev almost walked out because of the prices. It wasn't outrageous by any means but definitely more than Trev likes to pay hahaha. Anyways, it was a great dinner, once again, another awesome chance to have the parentals all to ourselves. They are the best, so fun. After dinner we headed back to the reception and danced the night away. Uncle Greg mostly just ate the chocolate covered popcorn but McKenna was going crazy on the dance floor!! Trevor somehow managed to get Roger dancing and it was so fun. I LOVE dancing with Trevvy, he is a lot of fun and pretty cute if I do say so myself! We had to leave right after the reception to meet an old friend of mine that I haven't seen in forever! It was great to reconnect and meet her cute fiance! We even got to enjoy YogurtLand, yummmm. It was kinda weird too because the last time Trevor and I went to YogurtLand, it was right after our wedding reception. Good, good times. :)

Things are going well now, the semester is almost over and Trevor is going crazy with all the March Madness, with basketball on all day every day, you'd think Trevor had died and gone to heaven! He's so cute. We will be moving at the end of the semester because our landlords are selling our apt so we are looking around for places to live and trying to put off the inevitable packing.

Did you really just read that whole post? Wow, way to go. If I could give you a hug I would. The rest of March should be great, so in the words of my Jamaican husband, "Big up yourself".

Happy Valentine's Day

My sister Ivy's post inspired me to blog about Valentine's Day. Alright so on Friday Natalie and I celebrated by going out to dinner. The dinner was a lot of fun. Natalie fixed my sunglasses and got me some basketball socks, and I got Natalie a purse the next day. The past week has been fun as well.

My parents came in on Friday for their friend's birthday party. Friday night Dad and I made cashew chicken and then we went to see Fantastic Mr. Fox. I thought the movie was pretty funny and the dinner was really good too. The next day we had an intramural basketball game. We ran up the score on the other team 94-52. Anyway it was a lot of fun to play some basketball.

In other news my friend Travis got engaged. Before that day he came over with his girlfriend and we told her all the things she needed to know before she said yes to marrying Travis. Phil, Bryce, Trevin, Allison, and of course Natalie and I also asked Heather a bunch of questions and really put her on the hot seat. Well that is about it for this last week. Nuff love and respect.

Well here is what is new. Intramural basketball has begun again and it has been amazing. Two games down and a lot to go. We won both games as well which was very exciting. We have a pretty fun team and we are pretty good as well. Anyway so that is good news. Sometimes I take my snow gloves and my two basketballs and go to the Richards Building for some dribbling drills. Everyone there must think I'm crazy. It is really nice having time to do fun things like that though. Thank goodness Natalie is the hard working one is this family, and I just play games all day.

More exciting news!! We are going to watch the Denver Thuggets play the Utah Jazz in like a week. It is Trevin Cardon's birthday so we are going to watch his favorite basketball team. Last time the referees gave Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups 5 ridiculous fouls and they didn't even get to play that much in the fourth quarter so I was pretty ticked. Anyway thanks for the tickets Nat I loved the game last year. Anyway that is why we have the picture of the tattooed man himself Carmelo Anthony. Go Nuggets!!!

January Fun

Natalie and I have had a lot of fun recently. School has been a little less stressful for me at least so Natalie and I have a lot of time to spend together and I have a lot of time to do other things like play basketball and music. Thanks Nat for the new shoes to use. So sometimes after school I will go to the Richards Building and do some dribbling drills with gloves on. I'm sure the people who come in to play basketball think I'm crazy but that is alright.

We also traveled to Fort Collins for my grandfather's funeral. While we do miss him. The funeral brought most of the grandkids together, and it was especially great to see all of my brothers and sisters together. Some of the fun things that we did together as a family was played Beatles Rock Band. Dad and I got to sing a few songs which was fun. Also we got to take family pictures with the brothers and sisters and mom and dad. Ivy was willing to let us go with her in her car and we had a lot of fun and good weather both ways. Calvin was also very well behaved.

Oh yeah Bernita (mom) came on Friday and we had a good dinner. Mom couldn't come to my intramural basketball game because it wasn't until 10 at night. Great game by the way and we have a really awesome team so it is a lot of fun to play basketball again.

So in review there has been a lot of new adventures for us and we are excited for the coming weeks.

I think I might be the worst blogger ever. I don't really have anything to say but I thought I would keep everyone up to date on what is going on. Today is Tuesday the past week I have tried to get ahead on my homework so that when we are in Colorado we won't have to do homework. Natalie has been working hard at preparing us for the trip. I hope she has a good Thanksgiving.

Anyway back to what I was saying. This week will renew the bitter rivalry between the Sterling brothers in basketball. As was seen last year the young guns were out to prove that they were more mature. Kip and myself really performed at the top of our game, but at the end of the day it was Tyson and Colin who came out on top. However the younger ones are looking to beat up on Tyson because his trim teammate won't be there to help him out when Tyson is getting throttled.

I like to make my sports a big deal. I am pretty sure that later on ESPN they will be talking about what I said on the blog. It is kind of like when Shaq tweets everyone listens. Well make it known that the young gunners are coming after the old guys.

Today marks the 4th year anniversary of our FIRST DATE!! Isn't that so exciting. As you can see from the picture above, Trevor asked me out through AIM. It was incredibly romantic, how could I say no? Trevor planned a great date, we wandered around the Riverwoods and we saw the movie "Elizabeth Town".

What I remember about the date:

1. Trevor called me from the Hinckley Hall Lobby to tell me that he is downstairs and ready for me. 2 seconds after that call, I got another call from Taylor telling me about how my dad just backed into my car!!!! I was freaking out as I walked down the stairs to meet Trevor, I was a little distracted to say the least.

2. When we got into Trev's Buick, I said "Hey, my Grandma has this car!" Totally not saying it because I was making fun of him but my Grandma really does have the same car and I thought it was cool. Oops.

3. Trevor took me into the Gymboree store and he said "Let's pretend we are shopping for baby clothes." I thought it was weird but funny haha. Who would have thought that we'd being doing that in the future. (No, I'm NOT pregnant, just saying that we will be shopping for baby clothes at some point in our lives.)

4. The movie we saw had some "parts" in it if you know what I mean haha, it's always awkward to watch that on a first date.

5. I thought Trevor was really funny and I thought he was quite the looker too.

Well, it was a great date. It obviously worked so good job Trev. The last 4 years have been so fun and I'm excited for 4 million more years! <3

Exam Week

Well with Natalie's post yesterday I bet everyone thinks that I am the most stressed out guy when it comes to exams. However, it has been a great week and I would like to think that I haven't been too stressed out. Natalie has also been a great help. Yesterday she cooked a great meal and not only that she surprised me with two pumpkin pies. I have eaten half of one already by myself. The picture is one that I took before I devoured it. Natalie also made this nice little reindeer piece of crust and I thought that was nice.

Tonight was my night to make dinner so I made some enchilladas. They were pretty spicy but I really liked them. Other than that things have never been better. Pictures Extravaganza!

Ok so I only have 10 minutes left on my lunch break so this will mostly be pictures. But we celebrated Trevors birthday in October and you will see what Jack was for Halloween! I am SO EXCITED to go to Colorado for Thanksgiving!! I haven't been there in forever and it will be so fun! Things are good, Trevor is in the midst of Test week for Accounting so he is busy and a little stressed. I'm working like a crazy person but I love it and I've been crafting so I'll have to post pictures of what I've made. One craft will be on it's way to Texas for our new little nephew!! And on to the pictures...

Jackson was a CUTE lion for Halloween!! What a cute kid, I know, I know Im obssessed and I totally ok with it! ;)

This is the before picture. My grandpa let me take some of his old decorations, this was given to my Grandma in like 1992, I hope she likes how it looks now!

The after picture. I took scrapbooking paper, ripped it into pieces and glued it on. It looks so good, if I do say so myself!

Here is Trevor with his pile of brithday presents and his card from Mom and Dad. We had fish tacos for dinner and then we watched a Intramural Soccer game on campus, I think it was a great day!
I got Trevor all new clothes that he can wear to church and to school when he needs to dress up. He was looking so stylish!!!
This is for our new nephew Isaac!! I wish we could meet him sooner but I thought this could be helpful for mommy! It's called a Car Seat Tent. You tie it on the car seat and you have a blanket there to keep baby warm and you still can hold onto the handle. I've never had a kid before so I don't know how really helpful this is but it sure looks like it. I'm sending this off tomorrow so I hope Christin and Isaac like it! Also, if you want me to make you one let me know!!

5K Fun

Natalie is working hard so I thought that I would take another shot at blogging. Man it seems like a long time since the last time we have even told you about our lives. Well here it goes.

Friday we went ice skating with the newly married couple Bryce and Katie. That was tons of fun and Natalie wanted to show us all her tricks that she learned in her ice skating class. I learned how to do a axle and other manuvers. HAHAHAHA. Natalie had been bugging me about going ice skating for like a year. Honestly a year so it was fun to go.

Natalie mentioned on her Twitter about the 5K. Man that was tons of fun I ran it in like 22 minutes. I was pretty impressed with how well Natalie did. She came in at a speedy 52 minutes. Ok that wasn't even the good part. The food was in the words of Lief, "Off the chain" Yeah that is right i'm still hip with the cool kids. I ate two belgian waffles and 2 yogurts and 3 sausage links and a bunch of fruit. I also ate anything Natalie didn't like. Then there was this raffle and Natalie won 25 bucks just for coming to the race. The partner at Grant Thornton called her up and she won just for participating.

Sunday we went over to Trevin and Allison's house for some good grubbing with friends. We had some good "Pork and Tangy" that is fancy english for Sweet and sour pork. After that we had some kind of dessert that Natalie spent a long time putting together and it was really worth it.

I put the picture in because it has nothing to do with the blog. Also it is getting so cold here I just wanted to think about palm trees and how warm it is in the Bahamas or any other Caribbean Island. Alright well have a good day!

Beaver One, Beaver All - Let's all do the Beaver Call

Wow, Trevor wrote a whole novel! Well now I get to write about our divine adventure in Beaver, UT. You didn't think Beaver could be so divine, huh? Well, let me tell you, it was. Trev and I drove down Thursday and met my mom, sister, lief, michelle and yup you guessed it JACK! haha. We got up to our cabin and Trevor snored.

Friday we didn't really do much haha. But we did go to Puffer Lake, Trevor was really good at skipping rocks and I was really good at throwing rocks in the lake. The rest of the fam met us at the bigger cabin. It was so fun to have everyone there. We watched old vhs movies and ate lots of food.

On Saturday, the boys went on a "1 mile" hike. Well turns out it was actually a 4 miler and they got on the wrong trail so we are glad they made it back safe. The boys played a lot of catch and the girls did a lot of cooking. Oh and did I mention that I got to play with Jack like all day?! it was so fun.

Each night we played exciting board games, and if you know my family we got pretty loud haha. It was great to just hang out and be with the fam. The mountains were beautiful and it was nice and cool.

Sunday, we all just ate more food and chatted. I was sad to leave the family but lucky for us they came back like 2 weeks later! We took my sister Katie home with us because she went to Theater Camp at BYU. Beaver was lots of fun, we forgot out ice cream maker top so we ruined that. But! We got to hear all about Switzerland and we tasted lots of Swiss chocolate. It was delicious. Jack is wonderful and so fat.

July was a crazy busy month but that is why we LOVE summer break! We'll blog about our adventures with the Sterling Clan and Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives next time!

California

California here we come right back where we started from.... That is really how the whole trip began. Boy driving 11 hours on that fateful Friday was a beast. I say fateful for a couple of reasons. First big up to Ivy and Zach for letting us stay the night at their house before we left. Anyway back to my story we started driving and like an hour into the drive Natalie was already asleep. Hahahaha. The salt flats are pretty eventful if you know what I mean.

Finally we got to Carlin. I was feeling lucky so I put a quarter into a slot machine that Natalie picked out and I became 40 dollars richer. Natalie looks so young that the lady managing the casino asked to see some identification.

We got back on the road again. Rick and Roger told me that my car probably wasn't overheating and that I was crazy. Nat said it was running pretty hot though. So a homeless man helped me take off the radiator cap and put it back on and then we were back on the road.

When we got to Rocklin we had tons of fun with Katie Techau's parents. They cooked us dinner and played catch with us and they even stayed up late and watched a movie. We had tons of fun with them and they are such gracious hosts.

The next day we drove down to Union City to see my mission president. We had to be there in about half an hour when Nat told me we still had at least 70 miles to go. We later found that she was using the wrong scale on the map. Hahahaha. Thankfully we got there with plenty of time to spare. When we saw a sign for Bart that just said ba, she claimed, "No Trevor that sign is for Bank of America." She was wrong.

We had tons of fun with my mission president. He is an amazing person and we are so glad to have him back. Not to mention Sis. Gingery. She is so awesome and all missionaries were so glad to see her again. That really was the highlight of our trip.

While in San Francisco we went to pier 39 and Ghiradelli Square and a seafood restaurant. Nat hates seafood. I loved the coast because even though it was summer it was still really cool and nice and humid. Didn't Mark Twain say the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in San Fran? If not I just made that up and it sounds great.

Sunday Nat and I bummed around a park and slept outside like a bunch of hippies. I wanted to play some more catch but no one had brought their baseball mit.

Pres. and Sis. Gingery spoke in church and they had a fireside. I know it seems like I'm ripping on Nat, but just one more story. We were sitting in the side pews when I asked her if the first two rows were reserved for missionaries. She told me no! Anyway I guess they were and we got front row tickets to the fireside. It was a lot of fun.

We drove home after the fireside and waited in stand still traffic. It was terribly fun at 11 0'clock at night. We arrived in Rocklin and went to bed. The next morning we made the long haul back to Provo. Overall tons of fun. Pres. and Sis Gingery are the best, and the best desert was the Ghiradelli mint chocolate chip ice cream. Also thanks to all the people who made it possible. Big up Big up Big up!!!

Another Great Summer Day

After being accepted for the accounting program Natalie and I celebrated with some amazing chicken wraps. They were pretty good. We have been watching a lot of the Food Network's Next Food Network Star and Natalie could contend with anyone on that program. I think it is interesting the different things Natalie and I blog about. Her blogs are kind of centered on events and I am pretty sure whenever I will blog it will be solely about food.

My long-time friend Phil is also departing for Canada tomorrow so we hope that his travels will be safe and that he will enjoy being with his family. I am sure that everyone here will miss him even if it is just for two months. We have included a picture of him so everyone can wish him look for him and wish him luck. He is the one on the left in this picture.

I'm telling you the summer is going to be over so soon! I can't believe we are already past the 4th of July! I'm excited though, Trevor and I have LOTS planned for this month, its gonna be great!

Our 4th of July was very busy and very fun. It started with the Provo Parade. Trevin and his brother Brock saved seats for all of us and it was so fun. I LOVE parades, my dream job is to be in charge of a big parade like that. Trevor loved the parade too, people gave him shoutouts from the parade! One lady yelled "You look like your in a daze!" haha and another yelled "Hey nice socks!", then someone with a watergun got Trevor all wet haha. It was soo funny. After the parade, we went to the Orem pool to meet Kip, Katie and Libby. We loved the pool, we went down the big slides, and we had a diving board contest, I'm pretty sure I won that. After swimming for a little bit we had a picnic and it was delicious! We had big deli sandwhiches, salad, chips and watermelon. yummmmmmmmm. After the picnic, Trevor and I went home to take a nap before the BBQ. We were out. It's crazy how swimming is so exhausting! Then we went to a BBQ with our friends Trevin and Allison and some of their friends. It was quite delicious. Trevor got to play catch which he loved. I left the BBQ to head over to the Stadium of Fire. It was soooooo much fun! My cousin, Ashten came from SLC and my old-roomie, KT came too. It was great and let me tell you, Kevin, Joe and Nick were so good! The fireworks show was also amazing!! It was a busy 4th but we loved it!!

This week is pretty busy. On Friday, Trevor and I are leaving to drive to Oakland. His mission president is having a big homecoming/reunion. On Saturday we are going on a tour of San Fran, which I am so excited about. I love that city. Trevor is excited to see the Gingery's and all his mission buddies. The 10 hour drive will be rough but it will be an adventure.

Trevor got a new calling in church too! He is the new Priests Quorum Advisor. Yeah I'm excited for him too. He'll be so good at that! He gets to go camping with them next week, hahaha, lets hope he can survive that! ;) Trevor is excited to work with the youth, it will be a little weird since he's not that far ahead of them, but I think he will be a GREAT example to the boys, for sure.

Not much else is happening, I CAN'T WAIT to go to Beaver next week. I miss my family like crazy so it will be way fun to hang out with them. Not to mention, Jack will be there!!!!!! Yay! It will be great. And in the beginning of August we will get to see Roger and Bernita, which will be sooo fun. Trevor wants them to stay with us, maybe Roger can fix some things and Bernita can cook hahahahah just kidding! :)

You know what is kinda lame about having a blog? Well, I figured out that since people read your blog, you don't really have anything to talk about with people. Numerous times this has happened. Trevin and Allison are like "So guys what new?" and we say "well, we went to Chuck E. Cheese last Saturday" then they say, "Oh yeah we read about that." The blog is killing my conversation pieces! Oh well, I'll just not blog about the weather and then we can talk about that.

This one is for the kids...

So I am already late on updating, but does it really matter? I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that reads this haha. I'm ok with that. It's nice to have an online journal of sorts. I keep thinking that my kids can read this, so this is for the kids.

Well this past week has been pretty much uneventful. Trevor had an interview for an accounting job at the BYU Bookstore. I called him today and I guess they called him back and left a message, he was too chicken to call them back and find out but I'm excited to see if he gets it or not! I worked a lot this past week, we had a big Golf Tournament so that was a lot of preparing, although it was a lot of fun to just buzz around the course in our golf cart.

On Friday night, Trev and I went up to Fruit Heights, UT and babysat my little cousins. We played with Nathan, Sarah and Austin. It was lots of fun and very exhausting! On Saturday we took them to Chuck E. Cheese and let them go crazy. It was a lot of fun and my favorite part was when Austin would run up to me and scream "Look at all these tickets!!". Haha, he was sooo excited to be winning all those tickets. I was afraid Chuck E. Cheese would be H E double hockey sticks but it actually wasn't bad. I stayed at the table while the kids played and even Trevor was getting into the games haha, he won me a bracelet. We stayed with the kids until Saturday night, it was lots fun.

My parents got back from Switzerland on Sunday, thank goodness they made it back safely! We are going to see them in 3 weeks and I am so excited! We are staying at a cabin in Beaver, UT and we are going to have a Chocolate Tasting Extravanganza! My mom said she bought all kinds of chocolates from Switzerland so I'm excited to taste them all.

This week we only have to work 4 days, and are we excited!! Our 2 month marriage anniversary is on Thursday and we are going to CPK to celebrate, yummmm. I'm going to Stadium of Fire with my cousin, Ashten, should be a party. Don't hate just because I like the Jonas Brothers. I don't know what it is but I love them and probably always will haha, they are my guilty pleasure and I am really looking forward to seeing them this Saturday, I just wish my sisters could be here too.

So here I am back to blogging. So fun. The past 2 months have been lots of fun. When we got back from the honeymoon it was a little tough to be back in the real world. However, after spending our full deck of giftcards and unpacking, we are settled and have our schedule now. Trevor is painting on campus for work and I'm working at the REALTORS Association in Orem. It's really nice and we have similar schedules, so we are enjoying life. We live in South Provo, we like to call it "The Ghetto" haha, the outside of our apt complex looks kinda bad, BUT! when you come into our apt, its really nice and not run down or anything. Its a nice clean place and we love it. The ward is good, here in weird Provo, married students have the choice to either go to a married student ward or a family ward. We chose a family ward and it's great.

Trev is getting his Accounting application finalized, his essay is currently in Switzerland. Weird, I know. My mom is editing it and she is vacationing in Switzerland with my dad soooo we are hoping to get the essay back and all edited this week so we can turn it in. I know he'll get in, it's just a matter of them saying Ok. My job is great, I'm starting to get out of the newbie stage and I am finding my place in the company. It's really relaxed and fun.

Not much else is happening, we went to Fort Collins last week for Trevin and Allisons wedding and we loved it. It was great to spend time with family and see our good friends be sealed. Very cool. We have adventures planned for July, including Stadium of Fire, trip to Cali and trip to Beaver. Should be lots of fun.

The honeymoon was sooo much fun to see the Bahamas and the cruise was great. We would definitely recommend a cruise, it was great and so nice to have everything included. There were times when the boat was definitely rocking, but I found that laying down helped me to not feel sick. On one island we rented a golf cart and just cruised around for a couple hours, it was awesome. We want to go back!!

Ok sooooo, I haven't blogged in forever. Let's be honest, being engaged and going to shool is busy business! But we are post wedding and have settled down a bit so I think we can get back into blogging. I will probably update once a week, maybe that can become a Sunday activity for me? We'll see about that :). I won't blog about much this time, I will update on Sunday though. We have lots of adventures going on this summer... stay tuned.

On Saturday, Trevor and I went around SLC to find a place to take engagement pictures. Well, after a hot photo shoot we decided to take them at the Capitol Building. We think it represents us in all the things that we stand for, ya know, justice, liberty, mercy and redemption. Its pretty much perfect. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. I was excited to start this blog, then I realized that we really don't have anything to blog about haha. We will get better at this, but for now its going to be boring stuff. Tonight, Trevor and I are going to register at Target. It should be fun, thats what I've heard at least. With the start of the semester, school has seems to take over our lives. But with the first 2 weeks over, there should be more wedding fun happening. I am going to look at dresses tomorrow morning, I'm excited, it will be fun. Tomorrow, Trevor and I are going to look at invitations and locations for our engagement pictures. I am probably most excited about going to see Grandpa Watts after we are done with our things.

I still have yet to see Baby Jack. Isn't that the saddest thing you have heard all day?? I know, me too. BUT. I am going to see him on Presidents Day weekend. I can't wait. Whenever I call Mom, she loves to tell me how cute and great he is. I'm getting jealous!! He is such a stud. CUTEST BABY EVER.

We will get better at taking pictures and posting them. We don't really take any, hmm but that will be a goal of ours. For now, you get the great, Baby Jack! aaahhh im dying to see this kid!

Natalie is an aunt!

I officially became an aunt yesterday and it is so exciting! His name is Jackson Patrick Nielson born on January 3 weighing in at 7 lbs. 4 oz. He is such a stud and he is the first grandkid in our family so he will be spoiled! Trevor and I have yet to see him, we hopefully will be going down to Vegas for the blessing in a couple of weeks. Jack Rocks!
